Pleasure-Way chassis and model-year comparisons
Compare a Pleasure-Way by its chassis, model year and installed house equipment. Sprinter-based Ascent and Plateau models, Transit-based Ontour and ProMaster-based Lexor need different vehicle documents. The Plateau XL widebody is a coach-body distinction, not evidence that every Plateau has the same van shell or ratings.
Ontour 2.2: the package changes between years
| Item | 2026 page | 2027.5 page |
|---|---|---|
| Length | 21 ft 10 in | 21 ft 10 in |
| Standard lithium bank | Two300 Ah batteries | 460 Ah battery |
| Solar | 300 W | 300 W |
| US MSRP | $206,206 | $207,995 |
The 2026 page and 2027.5 page describe different configurations. Their advertised MSRPs differ by $1,789. That is a comparison of published starting offers, not a cash transaction or an installed-equipment quote.
Do not assume a later model year has the same battery package. Request nominal voltage, usable energy, inverter limits and the actual order sheet before estimating off-grid use. Amp-hours alone cannot settle runtime.
The towing subtraction has conditions
The 2024–2025 Ontour 2.2 manual lists 11,000 lb GVWR and 13,000 lb GCWR. It explains that the 2,000 lb difference assumes the coach is loaded to its rating and that a lighter loaded coach may leave more margin, subject to Ford’s hitch, axle and other limits. Hitch tongue load must be counted in the loaded vehicle.
The 2026 page lists four seat belts. A bed or rear sofa does not independently establish a designated travel seating position. Verify the actual seating configuration and the completed-vehicle occupant-and-cargo label.
Identify the service channel before buying
Read both the Pleasure-Way house warranty and the chassis warranty for the exact year. Ask which service center diagnoses a problem involving both the vehicle and conversion. An Everbound trailer, where offered, is a separate towing decision from a camper van.
