Vintage Cruiser and Trail Boss: usable space and load
A Vintage Cruiser 19ERD and Trail Boss 109OK offer very different interior space. The published 19ERD interior height is 83 in; the 109OK lists 4 ft 6 in.
Choose a usable standing, sleeping and cooking arrangement before comparing their low dry weights. The fresh-water specification also needs the model and brochure edition, particularly on a used Vintage Cruiser.
| Published measurement | Vintage Cruiser 19ERD | Trail Boss 109OK |
|---|---|---|
| Overall length | 23 ft 1 in | 11 ft 10 in |
| Width | 7 ft 6 in | 5 ft 5 in |
| Dry weight | 3,090 lb | 1,510 lb |
| Unloaded hitch | 370 lb | 240 lb |
| Published NCC | 1,294 lb | 2,250 lb |
| Fresh water | 30 gal | 9 gal |
These are the maker’s 19ERD and 109OK rows. NCC means the published net carrying capacity. It is not a promise that either tow vehicle has enough available payload, or that every trailer carrying the same series badge has this allowance.
A tank discrepancy worth resolving before purchase
The early 2025 Vintage Cruiser flyer gives 21 gallons of fresh water; the current 19ERD sheet says 30. Those documents do not by themselves identify the tank in a particular advertised unit. Obtain its model-year sheet and confirm the installed tank rather than choosing the larger number.
Try the accommodation, then check the loaded rig
The 109OK’s short body and low interior call for an actual visit. Sit in the sleeping space, place the gear you expect to carry and try the cooking arrangement. A photograph taken with a wide-angle lens will not answer whether that layout works for your height or routine.
For the 19ERD example, 30 gallons weigh about 250 lb. Deducting that from its published 1,294 lb NCC leaves about 1,044 lb before other counted additions.
An installed option, packed food or a bike rack still consumes whatever allowance the real label establishes. Neither published dry hitch value replaces a loaded tongue measurement.
Vista Cruiser and Enlighten are separate lines; these figures do not cover them. Ask for their exact floorplan and model-year documents. The parts and identification notes explain what to photograph when a seller cannot identify an installed component.
