Gulf Stream identification and parts support

For Gulf Stream parts, identify the RV by VIN, model and year, then contact an authorized Gulf Stream dealer. For a motorhome chassis component, also record the chassis maker and chassis identification. A house floorplan name alone will not identify an engine, brake component or replacement appliance.

Separate the coach identity from the component

Gulf Stream’s history and support information states that parts are available exclusively through authorized Gulf Stream dealers. Collect the RV label, photographs of the failed part and any component model and serial plate before asking for a quote. A matching cabinet opening does not establish an appliance’s fuel, electrical or venting requirements.

The company history does not identify your RV

The Shea family entered manufactured housing with Fairmont Homes in 1971. Gulf Stream Coach began in 1983 with the Foxfire travel trailer. Those dates describe the business; they do not date an individual trailer or establish its warranty status.

For a used motorhome, request house and chassis service records separately. Check the VIN through NHTSA’s recall lookup and ask for completed repair paperwork. A campaign concerning one model is insufficient to establish that every Gulf Stream is affected.

Build a parts inquiry around the failed assembly

A Gulf Stream house-system request should name the appliance or assembly, describe the symptom and include a readable component plate. The dealer can then distinguish a coach-specific trim part from a supplier’s furnace, pump or control board.

Ask the quote to identify the replacement part, included fittings and required installation work. A photograph of an exterior badge is useful for identity but cannot supply those component details.

For a BT Cruiser chassis concern, provide the chassis identification and the service symptoms separately from the coach equipment list. That avoids ordering a house part for a driveline fault or sending an appliance inquiry only to a chassis workshop.

Keep any superseded-part confirmation with the invoice. The historical Foxfire name and the company’s founding dates help interpret old paperwork, but the installed component remains the basis of a repair or compatibility decision.
