Fleetwood and Holiday Rambler gas Class A checks

Fleetwood Bounder, Flair and Fortis and Holiday Rambler Vacationer, Admiral and Invicta are gas Class A families. Compare the exact model-year coach rather than assuming paired brand names have identical equipment or payload. The installed receiver rating and available combined-weight margin are separate limits.

Bounder: four plans, one receiver rating

35GL36 ft 3 in30,000 lbTrailer 8,000 lb; tongue 800 lbIts exterior length matches the 35K, but the published combined rating is higher. An equal length and receiver figure do not make the two towing calculations interchangeable.
35K36 ft 3 in26,000 lbTrailer 8,000 lb; tongue 800 lbThis shares the 35GL length but keeps the lower combined rating. Verify that the plan on the actual coach matches the paperwork used in the purchase comparison.
36F38 ft 9 in30,000 lbTrailer 8,000 lb; tongue 800 lbThe longest listed floorplan needs the largest campsite space in this comparison. Its higher combined rating still does not increase the receiver or vertical tongue limit.

The 2027 Bounder guide lists a 7.3 L Ford V8 rated 335 hp and 468 lb-ft. Those engine figures do not determine the permitted trailer weight. The listed combination rating changes between plans despite the shared 8,000 lb receiver figure.

Apply the lower remaining limit

If a 33C weighs an assumed 22,000 lb with its travel load, 26,000 lb GCWR leaves 4,000 lb for a towed vehicle. The receiver’s 8,000 lb rating does not create another 4,000 lb of combination capacity. Check the coach gross and axle ratings as well as the towing equipment.

The guide lists 100 gallons of fresh water, about 834 lb when full. Include the water quantity carried in the travel-ready weighing. For a trailer or dolly, vertical tongue load also uses coach load capacity and must remain within the stated 800 lb tongue limit.

Vacationer, Admiral and Invicta require their own sheets and labels. Try the beds and bathroom with the slides closed, and confirm actual seat-belt positions before treating the sleeping capacity as a passenger count. An optional bunk or seating package can change the delivered configuration.

An exhaust-tip recall is separate from towing ratings

NHTSA campaign 25V121000 covers certain 2022–2025 Bounder, Flair, Fortis, Admiral, Invicta and Vacationer motorhomes, with additional named models in the filing. A detached exhaust tip can let exhaust enter the cabin; the stated remedy installs a clamp.

Use the VIN to establish inclusion and completed repair. This older campaign does not establish an open recall on a 2027 Bounder. A clean interior and a working generator cannot substitute for the engine-exhaust repair record.
