Cruiser RV lines, loading and warranty checks
Cruiser RV makes MPG, Shadow Cruiser, Avenir and Embrace travel trailers, Essence fifth wheels and Stryker toy haulers. Check the specific model’s installed weight labels and warranty before comparing dealer promises. The CrossRoads Cruiser name belongs to a different product family; it is not sufficient identification for parts or service.
Avenir: use the published cargo allowance
| Model | Dry | Gross rating | Published cargo | Unloaded hitch |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Avenir 17BH | 2,960 lb | 3,898 lb | 922 lb | 398 lb |
| Avenir 27BH | 6,626 lb | 8,000 lb | 1,352 lb | 1,010 lb |
The 17BH specification and 27BH specification give cargo allowances slightly below gross minus dry. Do not replace the stated allowance with a larger arithmetic result. Confirm the actual label’s weight and fluid basis with the dealer.
The 17BH’s 40-gallon fresh tank holds about 334 lb at 8.34 lb per gallon. Deducting that water from its published 922 lb allowance leaves about 588 lb before other additions. Bunk space does not create extra capacity for belongings.
Choose the family by coupling and use
Cruiser’s current family index includes Embrace alongside MPG, Shadow Cruiser, Avenir, Essence and Stryker. For Stryker, request garage, ramp and tie-down limits separately from overall cargo allowance. For Essence, calculate loaded pin demand against the truck’s remaining payload.
Warranty coverage follows the written terms
Cruiser’s warranty summary describes a one-year limited materials/workmanship warranty and a three-year limited structural warranty from the original owner’s purchase. A structural term is not three years of coverage for every appliance, seal or cosmetic item. The component supplier’s written warranty can have different limits.
On a used Fun Finder, ViewFinder or other older Cruiser, retain the model-year manual and request maintenance and repair records. A current website’s family list does not establish that a discontinued model has current equipment or warranty coverage.
