CrossRoads Redwood, Hampton and Cruiser load checks
A Redwood fifth wheel and a Hampton destination trailer need different hitch, truck and campsite checks. Confirm the actual coupling before comparing weights; a family name or a long residential floorplan does not identify a fifth wheel. Use unit labels and loaded measurements for a towing decision.
Hampton 395BAM: verify the site and the move
A 2025 Hampton 395BAM listing, stock K6114, gives 12,168 lb UVW, 15,000 lb GVWR and three slides. It advertised $73,888 when checked October 18, 2026, before applicable taxes and fees. The seller allows a documentary fee up to $200 and says pre-delivery charges can vary.
The arithmetic weight gap is 2,832 lb. If added water and supplies weigh an assumed 800 lb, the remaining gap is 2,032 lb before other additions. That illustration is not a loaded tongue measurement or an increase in any axle rating.
Measure slide clearance, steps, tow-vehicle turning space and utility reach at the intended site. Check local occupancy and site rules before purchase. “Destination trailer” is a product form, not permission to use a particular parcel for residential occupancy.
Redwood 371RL: the listing itself needs checking
A 2026 Redwood 371RL listing, stock 40064, advertised $132,900 when checked October 18, 2026. It lists 19,500 lb GVWR and 3,712 lb unloaded pin, but its unit description gives 15,540 lb UVW while its generic specification table gives 15,206 lb.
Those two UVWs imply different arithmetic gaps: 3,960 lb or 4,294 lb. Request a photograph of this unit’s weight label rather than choosing the larger allowance. Loaded pin demand must fit the truck after people, hitch equipment and bed cargo are counted.
Cruiser and Cruiser Aire plan names also require the exact coupling and label to be identified. For a used model, obtain its model-year brochure and photographs; do not substitute another CrossRoads family’s weights. Hampton and Redwood support information is on the CrossRoads owner-support guide.
