Winegard AIR 360 no channels or signal checks

For an original Winegard AIR360 finding no channels, check the TV’s Antenna/Air mode, run a channel scan and confirm the documented amplifier-power state. Identify the antenna and wall plate first. AIR360, AIR360+and a cellular gateway are different products and signal paths.

Scan after a location change

The A3-2000/A3-2035 guide 2452419 Rev 0 requires an initial channel scan and recommends rescanning after moves, when a channel is lost and monthly. Channel up/down does not perform that search. Use the television’s own menu instructions.

The antenna coax also carries supply power

The cited guide sends 12-volt DC from the wall plate to the amplifier. It warns against adding splitters or couplers on that antenna-to-supply cable. Do not assume any F-connector accessory is suitable for the powered path.

Its protection can remove output during a direct short. A dark light is therefore not proof that the antenna head alone failed. Leave connector voltage and internal supply testing to someone equipped to avoid shorting the powered coax.

Do not turn a reception range into a guarantee

The guide’s up-to 50-mile claim depends on transmitter and site conditions. Terrain, trees, buildings and placement can change reception. A scan finding no station does not establish a broken antenna without considering coverage.

Compare another known local reception source if available. Record whether the issue affects both TVs or only one branch. Do not drill a new roof position as a first diagnostic step.

Roof work has separate requirements

Use the antenna’s exact mounting and sealing instructions for its roof and flange. Do not generalize a cable-entry detail into an instruction to leave unrelated roof openings unsealed. Match compatible sealant and safe roof access.

For broader network and television choices, use RV connectivity. For lost house supply, use DC checks. Give support the antenna model, wall-plate model, TV source and scan results.
