Norcold N6xx and N8xx refrigerator fault codes
Norcold N6 xx/N8 xx code meanings depend on the full model and control generation. The 1998 service manual uses single-letter indications for some models and two-part codes for others. Record the entire display before silencing an alarm or clearing history.
Check recall identity before another operating attempt
The current product-compliance page lists recall 02 E-019 for N841, N821, N641 and N621 cooling units with serial numbers 1038000–1099000. Check both appliance and cooling-unit identification through the recall instructions; a model name alone does not establish applicability or completion.
That page also provides current recall contact routing following changes in the former manufacturer’s business. Use its live contact form rather than assuming an old service-manual telephone number still handles a recall. Do not bypass a thermal safety device or operate equipment contrary to applicable recall instructions.
| Display | Reported condition |

| AC rE / dc rE | Corresponding relay stuck closed |
| AC HE / dc HE | Corresponding heater circuit open |

Do not transfer this table to every Norcold refrigerator
The Norcold manual 619394, May 1998 names N640, N641, N840 and N841 variants for that display family. N620, N621, N820 and N821 use its separate single-letter table. Later Polar or compressor models require their own document.
A code is a diagnostic branch
Low supply indication does not identify whether the battery, charger, cable or connector caused it. A heater or relay code also does not justify an owner opening a powered compartment. Ask an equipped technician to test the named circuit.
Do not light another propane appliance to test a suspected leak. Leave gas odor and get help from a safe place. Keep refrigerator fault history available rather than using its erase function before service.
For food-temperature and ventilation observations, use refrigerator cooling checks. For absent supply, use DC or refrigerator outlets and breaker checks. A silent alarm does not establish restored cooling.
