Furrion F2GWH codes, flow and freeze protection
Record the Furrion F2 GWH code before resetting. Its 2022 manual distinguishes temperature, ignition, airflow and valve faults from the En run timer and Fd winter-use indication. Persistent ignition or overtemperature faults require diagnosis rather than repeated faucet cycling; confirm the actual model label.
Read the exact code
The F2 GWH manual CCD-0005833, April 2022 provides these meanings. They apply to that model and revision; a newer Furrion heater may use a different table.
| Display | Condition |
|---|---|
| E0 / E4 | Outlet / inlet temperature-probe fault |
| E1 / E2 | Failed ignition / flame lost during operation |
| E3 / E6 | ECO open / outlet overtemperature |
| E5 | Blower fault |
| E7 | Linear valve fault |
| E8 | Air-pressure-switch fault |
| E9 | Flame-sensor short |
| En | Continuous run exceeded 20 minutes |
| Fd | Winter-use freeze protection active |
Check flow before assuming there is no fuel
That manual specifies at least 0.80 US gallon per minute for each hot-water faucet supplied. Compare the observation at one fixture with the others. Low flow at only one faucet and low flow everywhere give the repair provider different starting evidence.
A hypothetical half-gallon collection in 60 seconds is 0.50 gallon per minute, below that stated minimum. Measure only cool water where collection is safe; do not expose yourself to a hot discharge to perform a flow test. A flow result does not establish gas pressure or identify a failed valve.
Freeze protection has a limited scope
The manual’s exchanger protection starts below 38°F and stops above 58°F at its sensor. It requires available propane, 12-volt DC and the unit switched on. It does not protect the entire RV plumbing system.
Loss of either energy source can therefore defeat that feature. Follow the matching winterization instructions when storing the RV or when continued protection cannot be assured. Do not equate a lit Fd display with protection of every pipe, tank and valve.
Leave combustion and safety controls intact
If gas is smelled, evacuate without operating switches and obtain help from a safe place. Do not bypass the ECO, pressure switch or flame sensor. An error naming a circuit does not prove the sensor alone is defective.
Give service the code, its timing, water-source arrangement and whether the symptom affects every fixture. Use low-water-pressure checks for a supply problem and no-hot-water observations to distinguish a cold tap from a heater ignition failure.
