Forest River warranty: select the right document

Match Forest River warranty coverage to the product and retail purchase date. Its published forms distinguish towables, motorized RVs, Dynamax, OGV, tent campers and truck campers. A single “one-year warranty” description misses differences in mileage limits, exclusions and claim procedures.

The current document list includes an OGV exception

Forest River’s warranty directory separates purchases before July 2021, July 2021–June 2023 and July 2023 onward. It separately lists an OGV form for purchases on or after June 1, 2026. Select the form delivered for your purchase rather than treating the newest file as retroactive.

The towable and motorized forms cover qualifying manufacturing and assembly defects for the first retail purchaser. The OGV document uses separate wording for transportation and RV models.

Different limits can end coverage at different points

For a motorized unit subject to the stated one-year/12,000-mile term, an assumed 13,000 miles within eight months passes the mileage limit. A towable’s one-year term has a different stated limit. This example does not determine a particular claim or separate chassis/component warranty.

Keep maintenance, component coverage and remedies separate

The towable form excludes owner maintenance and water damage from failure to maintain seals. It also separates appliances covered by other warranties and says Forest River administers certain component claims during its one-year period. Obtain the relevant appliance or chassis document for those questions.

Its service provisions call for written notice to Forest River and an opportunity to repair if dealer repairs are inadequate. Preserve dated requests and responses. The form contains legal deadlines and state-law qualifications; read those clauses rather than relying on a generic deadline for every owner.

Check VIN safety recalls separately from warranty eligibility. A warranty summary, recall search and optional service contract answer different questions.
