Winnebago motorhome, van and trailer comparisons

Winnebago sells motorhomes, camper vans and its own travel trailers; its towables are not all Grand Design products. Forza is a diesel-pusher Class A, while View and Navion are Sprinter-based diesel Class C families. Identify the model year and platform before comparing fuel, weight or service requirements.

Forza 38W: the receiver is not the combined-weight margin

The 2025 Forza 38W sheet identifies a 340 hp Cummins ISB6.7 L on Freightliner XCS, 29,410 lb GVWR and 33,000 lb GCWR. It lists a 10,000 lb drawbar receiver with 500 lb maximum vertical load. Those are different limits.

At an assumed 29,000 lb loaded coach weight, 4,000 lb remain under GCWR. The 10,000 lb receiver cannot override that lower margin, the axle limits or the towing-equipment instructions.

Travato 59K: a specific van listing and rating set

A 2026 Travato 59K listing, stockFN221632, on Winnebago’s dealer-inventory system advertised $149,998 when examined October 18, 2026. The model information lists a 21-foot Ram ProMaster gasoline van with 9,350 lb GVWR, 12,000 lb GCWR and a 3,500 lb drawbar/350 lb vertical receiver.

That is an asking-price example, not a completed transaction or current-availability guarantee. At 9,000 lb assumed travel weight, its GCWR margin would be3,000 lb. Check the actual unit’s installed equipment and remaining occupant allowance.

Thrive is a Winnebago-branded trailer

A 2026 Thrive 18FBS listing, stockR103832, advertised $28,995 through Royal RV Center in Middlebury, Indiana. The advertisement identifies a travel trailer, not a Grand Design floorplan or a motorhome. Obtain a written purchase total with taxes, fees and any incentive conditions.

Access, Micro Minnie, M-Series, Minnie and Voyage also require model-year-specific towable documents. Adventurer, Vista, Sunstar and Minnie Winnie should be checked against their own chassis sheets. View, Navion, Revel and EKKOSprinter must not be relabeled gasoline because another Winnebago uses a gas chassis.

Keep the original service documents

Use Winnebago’s manuals and diagrams and its recall VIN lookup. Grand Design and Newmar share Winnebago Industries ownership but retain their own product and service records. Warranty summaries need the exact year and original terms checked.
