Roadtrek ownership and support after 2019
Roadtrek’s current history identifies Conestogo Partners as its owner in 2026, following Groupe Rapido’s 2019 acquisition of the brand. Do not price every Roadtrek as an unsupported orphan. For an older van, identify the manufacturer and build date and obtain written confirmation of the support or coverage available for that particular unit.
The 2019 change is not the end of the brand
The current Roadtrek site offers service-center help, owner guidance and current products. Its manufacturer history records the 2019 Rapido acquisition. The failure of the former Erwin Hymer North America business does not establish that Roadtrek stopped operating permanently.
Use the correct warranty issuer and edition
The Roadtrek Inc. two-year warranty page covers the portion manufactured by Roadtrek Inc. from the first purchase or first service date, whichever occurs earlier. It describes the coverage as non-transferable and requires prior authorization for warranty repairs at a non-authorized facility.
Those terms do not reinstate coverage on an older used van or extend every former company’s warranty. Request the actual purchase and in-service records and a written answer on any proposed claim. A new sales page is insufficient to establish eligibility for an older EcoTrek installation.
Inspect the conversion and chassis separately
Match the Chevrolet, Mercedes-Benz, Ram or other chassis to its own maintenance documents. Record battery, inverter, charging and appliance identities before diagnosing house-system faults. Owner modifications can change the equipment from the original brochure.
For an explicit used-purchase example, a $60,000 offer plus a documented $4,000 house-electrical repair estimate totals $64,000 before taxes and other costs. The calculation does not establish a market value; it shows why a real repair estimate matters more than a blanket orphan-brand discount.
Check the VIN through NHTSA and retain completed-repair records. Current support and a clean recall result do not replace a physical inspection.
