KZ RV recall checks: Durango shock bolts

Check a KZ RV recall by the actual VIN and the manufacturer’s campaign documents. KZ’s June 10, 2026 letter for campaign 26V322 concerns 2026 Durango shock-absorber bolts. Contact the selling dealer promptly for the specified replacement and retain the repair record; a general brand recall count cannot establish whether a particular trailer has been repaired.

What 26V322 requires

The KZ owner letter says improperly installed shock bolts can separate while traveling and release debris into the road. It identifies 2026 Durango models and specifies a replacement-bolt kit at no charge, with an estimated 48-minute repair.

The supplier repair instructions identify CURT Touring Coil Suspension and supplier campaign 26E032. They describe factory-installed TCS on Lippert chassis manufactured before April 23, 2026. The vehicle campaign and supplier campaign are related records, not two unrelated repairs.

Use the affected-VIN list as an identification check

KZ publishes an affected-unit VIN list alongside its recall documents. Match all 17 characters with the trailer’s label and registration. A model name or similar-looking suspension cannot replace that check.

If the trailer is absent or its service history is unclear, ask KZ or the dealer to verify the current record. NHTSA’s lookup is another route for open vehicle recalls. Also identify appliances and other equipment by their own model and serial numbers.

Buying a used Connect, Sportsmen or Durango

Request recall completion invoices with the maintenance file. A dated campaign concerning one model year cannot establish the status of another. Do not interpret the absence of a notice in a seller’s paperwork as a completed remedy.

For a truck and trailer combination, check the weight labels and loaded axle weights separately from recall status. A corrected suspension bolt does not increase GVWR, tire ratings or the truck’s payload.

Retain both campaign identifiers with the invoice

Ask the repairer to identify the vehicle campaign on the completed work order and preserve any corresponding supplier paperwork. That makes a later resale inquiry about these shock bolts easier to resolve than a generic note that the suspension was checked. The published estimated repair time is not a promise of workshop availability, transport time or the appointment’s total duration.
