Coachmen Beyond, Nova, Pixel and Galleria vans
Coachmen Beyond, Nova, Pixel and Galleria camper vans differ in chassis, bathroom equipment and installed power systems. Verify the build sheet and cargo label on the van for sale. A lithium option listed in a brochure does not establish that a particular van has that battery or its associated charging equipment.
Pixel: AGM equipment and lithium are separate configurations
The Pixel feature sheet lists two 115 Ah AGM batteries, a 1,000 W inverter and a 2.8 kW gas generator as standard equipment. Its optional lithium package specifies 640 Ah, a second alternator and a 3,000 W inverter/charger; the Onan generator is omitted with that option.
At an assumed nominal 12 V, the two AGM batteries total 230 Ah or 2,760 Wh nominal. The 640 Ah option would be 7,680 Wh at the same assumed voltage. Neither nominal number is a promised air-conditioner runtime: battery voltage, allowed discharge, inverter loss and appliance demand affect usable energy.
The bars compare two alternative banks, not batteries installed together. An inverter’s watt rating limits instantaneous AC output; it does not describe stored watt-hours. Confirm the battery label’s actual voltage before calculating energy.
The bathroom and chassis affect the buying decision
Pixel’s sheet specifies a cassette toilet. A listing with no fixed black-tank capacity does not mean the van has no toilet or no waste to empty. Ask the seller to demonstrate cassette removal and identify permitted disposal points.
The Beyond feature sheet names a 2025 Ford Transit AWD chassis with a 3.5 L EcoBoost engine and ten-speed transmission. It lists a 2.8 kW gasoline generator and 2,000 W inverter under standard features, illustrating why Pixel equipment cannot be copied across the range.
Nova uses the ProMaster platform and Galleria the Sprinter platform; check each exact year’s specification. Read the completed van’s occupant-and-cargo label, then allow for people, water and added equipment. A heavier chassis rating alone does not prove more usable payload.
